One of the projects particularly close to our hearts is the festival a cappella, which we launched in 1997 and have directed ever since. In addition to luminaries from the scene, it offers a stage to newcomers and also showcases exciting insider tips. Each spring, the entire spectrum of unaccompanied vocal music can be enjoyed in Leipzig’s concert halls and churches. From medieval sounds to modern styles and genres, there’s always something for every taste and even every age. Since 2007, this week full of highlights has been enhanced by a competition for young ensembles.
