Concert on the 500th anniversary of Josquin’s death on arte Concert and Deutschlandfunk

With Marian masses and motets we pay our respects to Josquin des Préz in the opening concert of this year’s a cappella festival. The composer was already courted by princes and music publishers during his lifetime, because he succeeded to a special degree in merging contrapuntal art with verbal expression.

We are pleased that, in cooperation with Accentus Music, we have once again succeeded in recording this concert from Leipzig’s Thomaskirche for arte. It will be available on arte concert until July 29th 2021. Deutschlandfunk Kultur will broadcast the concert on May 12th 2021 at 8:03pm.
