After opening the Bach Festival held by the New Bach Society in Tübingen together with the Lautten Compagney at the end of September, on 26 October we had the honour of beginning the Bach Festival in Eisenach. Joined by Angelika Lenter (soprano) and Susanne Langner (alto), we performed music by J.S. Bach, J.H. Schein, H. Schütz and other composers in the sold-out St George’s Church, where Johann Sebastian Bach was baptized in 1685.
